We are diligently working with the New York Flora Association to work on more education around safely and mindfully harvesting local ecotype native plant seeds. Keep an eye on our events for an Ethical Native Plant Seed Harvesting presentation and blog/social media for updates on when specific native plants will start to go to seed. Please become more familiar with iNaturalist a great tool for identifying flora and fauna. This way you can take photos through out the season and if you are still having a hard time identifying you can “bring it” with you!
