Shopping Capital Region NY Native Plants

You have done the research and want to start incorporating native plants to the Capital Region in your garden. We have done some of the digging for you by providing a list of local nurseries in the area. Please note that sourcing natives is quite tricky and leaves nurseries limited to what they can offer. We have done our best to pre-screen these establishments. However, it is strongly recommended that you keep the New York Flora Atlas website ready when you shop just to ensure the plant is native to our area. Have a conversation with the salesperson and ask if they sell cultivators or use pesticides. Download our shopping guide for more tips for a successful trip to the nursery. This will just give you more success later!
