Do you want to help Wild Ones spread the word about native plants? We would love your help for our chapter display table at the upcoming Capital Region Flower & Garden Expo. You can join us to volunteer for a two-hour or three-hour shift over the weekend. There’s no need to be a gardening expert, just someone who sees the value that native plants contribute to our environment. Plus, volunteers will receive a free ticket to the show to enjoy before or after their shift.
The Flower & Garden Expo takes place March 28-30 at the McDonough Sports Complex at Hudson Valley Community College, Troy.
Wild Ones will present a colorful display about native host plants and butterflies, along with membership information at our table. ( If you want to get involved in developing the display and helping to set up, let us know.)
The annual expo features large-scale gardens and floral-themed exhibits, along with a marketplace filled with more than 190 flower and garden-themed retail displays, a farmers market and New York state wine tastings. Wild Ones will be offering several several workshops from our Speakers Bureau as part of the event’s more than 50 presentations.
