Join us on this 0.9 mile hike over rolling terrain to look for the Karner blue butterfly. Once common in the Glacial Lake Albany sand belt, the Karner blue plummeted in numbers and was listed as a federally endangered species in 1992. Come learn about the natural history of the Karner blue and our efforts to increase the population of Karner blues in the Albany Pine Bush Preserve.
